Last Friday the hugely successful U2 played a (mildly) secret gig outside Broadcasting House in Central London. Despite being secret the short session was watched by ….. fans, some of whom had been waiting around for hours beforehand waiting for a glimpse of their heroes.
Here is some footage from the gig. The next two parts are access by clicking the “read the rest of this entry” link.

Gary Go is confirmed to support Take That on their record breaking UK tour playing to over a million people including the venue at the end of road that he grew up – Wembley Stadium.
It has to be the most enviable support slot a new artist or band could ever dream of… To play live in front of over a million people in the space of a month, at venues like Wembley Stadium and Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium. However, my enthusiasm was tragically quashed by an enamel peeling three hour wait for the main event to begin. Granted, there were two support acts (‘Walker’ and ‘Starsnostars’, both also hailing from Porthcawl), but that’s exactly my point – there should not have been two support acts, especially given that there was an hour’s gap of nursing my Bulmers depressingly in the corner in between the two support acts half hour sets.
That organisational gripe aside though, once People In Planes took to the stage, I immediately forgave them for the past three sweaty hours. (more…)
